⭐ NEW Chef Vacancy – Cape Town (Bantry Bay area) ️✨ Sous Chef (Villas) – Luxury Boutique Hotel – Cape Town ➡️ Live-out | R25,000 Gross p/m | Excellent benefits | Shift-based role Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting a dynamic, creative Sous Chef for an exclusive luxury boutique hotel in Cape Town, focused on private villa dining . This role suits a chef who uses food as storytelling, delivering meaningful guest experiences that showcase the diversity of Cape Town cuisine and South Africa as a whole. Key Responsibilities • Run the kitchen effectively in the absence of the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef • Ensure smooth communication between restaurants, villas, and kitchen teams • Quality control on every dish leaving the kitchen, including temperature, presentation, and consistency • Maintain 5-star food standards, preparation and cooking techniques • Work closely with F&B to meet operational objectives and deliver exceptional guest satisfaction • Assist with daily menu writing, innovation, and keeping up with food trends Villas Focus • Liaise with reservations/reception for arrivals and guest requirements • Ensure villas are stocked and arrival-ready at least two hours before guest arrival • Be present and available for villa guests, providing exceptional service without being intrusive • Ensure villa food offering aligns with the main hotel standard and presentation • Support events and keep villas service-ready, including handovers and maintenance reporting Stock Control & Ordering • Place daily orders, manage supplier relationships, and check receiving quality • Maintain correct storage and stock rotation across fridges/freezers • Manage wastage control, breakages, and monthly stock takes within targets Requirements • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Sous Chef role • Must have 5-star hotel experience and fine dining background • Culinary qualification preferred • Strong communication skills and ability to host guests confidently • Innovative, detail-driven, and able to work independently Shift Pattern • Early: 06:30 – 15:30 • Late: 14:00 – 23:00 • Night: 22:00 – 07:00 Package • Basic salary: R25,000 gross per month • Medical aid: 50% contribution (Discovery Health, capped at KeyCare plan) • Pension: 6% contribution both ways (Momentum) • Monthly gratuity paid in arrears To Apply Please submit your CV, contactable references, food portfolio, and a recent head and shoulders photograph ASAP.
