About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a 40-roomed hotel in Mahikeng, North West Province. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing kitchen staff, creating menus for a la carte and banqueting events, and maintaining efficient kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the kitchen staff and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Create menus for a la carte and banqueting events for up to 300 guests
- Maintain good kitchen organisational skills and oversee storerooms and fridges
- Place stock orders and conduct stock takes
- Use Excel for stock control
- Collaborate with the hotel’s conferencing team to plan events
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification
- Minimum 3 years experience as Executive Chef in 4* hotels with over 40 rooms
- Good kitchen organisational skills
- Ability to manage kitchen staff effectively
- Strong creativity in menu planning and presentation
- Experience with banqueting for large groups (up to 300 guests)
