About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a 40-roomed hotel in Mahikeng, North West Province. As the lead culinary expert, you will be responsible for creating delicious menus, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring efficient operations. If you have a passion for cooking and excellent leadership skills, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen staff and ensure efficient operations
- Create menus for a la carte and banqueting for up to 300 guests
- Maintain storerooms and fridges, including stock ordering and taking
- Use Excel for stock control
- Collaborate with the hotel team to provide excellent customer service
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification
- Minimum 3 years experience as Executive Chef in 4* hotels with over 40 rooms
- Good kitchen organisational skills
- Strong on a la carte and banqueting experience
- Creative approach to menu planning and kitchen organisation
- Responsible for storerooms and fridges, as well as placing of stock orders & stock takes
- Ability to use Excel for stock control
