About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the renewable energy industry is urgently seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team in Somerset West, Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records and ensuring accuracy in all aspects of bookkeeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-spectrum bookkeeping, ensuring all financial records are accurate and ready for audits.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, tracking payments to suppliers and collecting from clients.
- Oversee petty cash and expense processing, and assist with budget control.
- Utilize financial software, primarily Xero, along with Simpro and Zoho (training provided for Zoho).
- Collaborate on project cost tracking and reporting with other teams.
- Communicate effectively with clients in English or Afrikaans to handle calls, collect payments, and address queries.
- Work closely with the CFO, receiving hands-on training and ongoing support.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance position.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero is essential, and familiarity with Simpro and/or Zoho would be a big plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work effectively without constant supervision.
- Familiarity with job costing in a project-based or technical business environment.
