Job Description
Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management: Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair server and networking hardware/software; manage ZFS storage and backups.

Networking: Design and implement networking solutions including VPNs, VLANs, and wireless access points.

Virtualization & Config: Deploy and maintain KVM virtual machines and LXC/LXD containers; utilize configuration management tools.

Cloud Administration: Manage Google Workspace (Users, Groups, Drive, Sites).

Technical Support: Provide Tier 1 support for lecturers and staff regarding networking and server software.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of network architecture, server configurations, and software deployments.
Minimum Requirements:

Linux Expertise: Strong proficiency in Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).

Core Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and OpenVPN.

Certifications: CompTIA Network+, MikroTik training, or equivalent professional experience.

Advanced Networking: Experience with Radius/Eduroam, VXLAN, and NFS.

Server Software: Familiarity with Apache, LDAP, Samba, and CUPS.

DevOps/Scripting: Proficiency in Shell or Python scripting for automation.

Platform Experience: Prior administration of Google Workspace and ZFS storage.
