About the Role
A reputable organisation is seeking Junior Health & Safety Officers to join their growing team in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals looking to build their career within a structured and compliance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess risks in construction sites
- Develop and implement health and safety procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections and monitoring
- Provide training and guidance to construction personnel
- Maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents
- Collaborate with project managers and team members
Requirements
- Must hold a valid Candidate CHSO (Construction Health & Safety Officer) registration with South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
- Basic understanding of construction health and safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying risks
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
