About the Role

Hire Resolve is seeking a Debt Recovery Specialist to join their Port Elizabeth branch, where you will proactively recover outstanding debt while maintaining strong customer relationships. As a key member of the team, you will utilize creative approaches to improve client cash flow and provide support to Credit Risk Advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive Debt Recovery: Use various approaches to recover outstanding debt and enhance client cash flow.
  • Operational Excellence: Offer guidance to the debt recovery team and support Credit Risk Advisors to ensure high levels of service delivery.
  • Legal & Insurance Management: Manage legal files, update industry stop statuses, and oversee credit insurance processes, including claim lodgments and compliance with insurer deadlines.
  • Risk Assessment: Assess client paperwork to identify strengths and weaknesses that may affect the collection process.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Build trust-based relationships with clients, attorneys, liquidators, and business rescue practitioners.
  • Data Integrity: Utilize internal systems to capture correspondence, generate reports, and track workflows in real-time.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Debt Collection or Credit Control.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience specifically with Credit Insurance.
  • Education: An NQF qualification, diploma, or degree is preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles and annual financial statements.
  • Knowledge of legal processes including liquidations and business rescue.
