About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mid-Level Project Manager to lead projects of moderate complexity in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have 36 years of experience in IT/IM Project Management, a solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall/hybrid methodologies, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle (initiate, plan, execute, monitor, close)
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
- Act as primary contact for stakeholders, providing clear updates and transparent reporting
- Coordinate resources, onboarding, and team activities while supporting squad-level mentoring
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with client policies, SLAs, and requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold the client’s stamp of excellence
Requirements
- 36 years experience in IT/IM Project Management within managed or professional services
- Solid knowledge of Agile and Waterfall/hybrid methodologies
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, xPM
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (IT, Business Management, Project Management) required
Qualifications
- Professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, CSM) are advantageous
- Experience in the mining sector is an added advantage
