Job Description
This role requires a hands-on finance leader with strong manufacturing costing knowledge, operational finance exposure, and the ability to drive business performance through strategic decision-making. The CFO will oversee the full finance function, manage governance and compliance, and provide leadership across budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full finance function including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax, audit, and compliance.
- Drive manufacturing costing, margin analysis, and profitability improvements across production lines.
- Provide strategic financial input to support business expansion, capital projects, and operational investment.
- Manage cash flow, working capital optimisation, and financial risk mitigation.
- Oversee financial governance, internal controls, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned to business goals and operational priorities.
- Partner with operations and supply chain to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and performance improvement.
- Manage and mentor a finance team, ensuring a high-performance culture.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:
- CA(SA) / CIMA / MBA (Preferred)
- BCom Accounting / Finance (Essential)
Experience:
- Minimum 10–15 years finance experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven CFO / Finance Director experience within automotive component manufacturing (Non-negotiable)
- Strong exposure to plant finance, production costing, and operational finance
- Experience working with OEM supply chain environments and high-volume production advantageous
- Track record of driving cost optimisation and improving profitability
Skills:
- Strong IFRS reporting and governance experience
- Advanced Excel skills (Non-negotiable)
- Strong ERP exposure (SAP / Oracle / Syspro / Dynamics advantageous)
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence executive decision-making
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking capability
Other Non-Negotiables:
- Strong ability to operate in a high-pressure manufacturing environment
- Proven track record in driving process improvement and financial discipline
