About the Role
Hire Resolve, a leading client in the Appliance Manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join their team in KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, improving, and maintaining the system of quality and reliability testing to ensure that the company’s products or development processes meet excellent standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System that aligns with industry best practices and applicable regulations
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, or other industry-specific certifications
- Lead and mentor a team of quality assurance analysts and specialists
- Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and development
- Ensure that Warranty Cost & Service call Rate Targets are met as per Objectives and Targets
- Establish and execute quality control processes, including product inspection, testing, and validation
- Implement effective quality control procedures to identify and address defects or deviations from specifications
- Continuously review and improve existing quality assurance processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Work strongly with Cross Functional Manufacturing Teams in ensuring Scrap limits are not exceeded
- Identify root causes of quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead quality audits, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up on identified non-conformities
- Assess potential risks related to product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Develop and implement risk mitigation plans to prevent quality-related issues
- Conduct training programs to educate employees on quality standards, processes, and best practices
- Ensure that the workforce is knowledgeable and compliant with quality-related policies and procedures
- Analyze quality metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and report findings to senior management
- Inculcate and drive continued efforts in ensuring a culture built on the 6 Sigma methodology
- Generate regular quality assurance reports to track performance and communicate results
- Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to evaluate and qualify suppliers based on quality criteria
- Monitor and assess supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards and contractual obligations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality or related field
- Experience in Quality Assurance Systems
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- Certification in quality management
