Job Summary
Signage SupervisorLinear Building Projects is looking for a Signage coordinator.The role of the Signage coordinator is to design and make signs and create the required lettering for them. They will need to install these on shopfronts, offices, restaurants, hotels, on the side of vehicles and the sides of the road.Qualifications required.Grade 12Skills/Competencies required:Good drawing skillsIT Skills to use design softwareNeat and accurate approachGood practical skillsAn eye for detail and colourKnowledge of typefaces and fontsA good head for heightsAn awareness of health and safetyCreative and ImaginativeAccurate at spelling and punctuationGood with numbers and calculating spacingKnowledge of Technical processesAbility to keep up with changing methods Prime
Responsibilities:
Meeting clients to discuss their needs, working out costs and measurements, preparing planning application forms and drafting contractsCostings and Quotations ProcurementStockholding / Managing OrdersDesigning and making signs on a computer (Corel draw)Operating a flatbed and roll-to-roll UV printerOperating a vinyl cutting machineOperating a laser cutting machineTaking designs printed on vinyl and applying them to vehicles, vinyl wrapping.Making 3-D letters from moulds or cutting them out from materials such as vinyl, Perspex, plastic, metal, wood and glass fibreUsing solvent-based inksExperience: 2-3 years
