Job Summary
The Rooms Division Manager at Soul Fumba Town will oversee all aspects of the guest service and housekeeping departments, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering unparalleled guest satisfaction.
WHAT’S IN A DAY’S WORK?
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage Guest Service Supervisors, Guest Service Ambassadors, and the Housekeeping team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and performance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and open communication.
- Guest Experience:
- Ensure that all guest interactions reflect the brand`s commitment to exceptional service.
- Handle guest complaints and concerns promptly, turning challenges into opportunities to improve guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and evaluate guest feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Operational Excellence:
- Oversee daily operations of Guest Services and Housekeeping departments, ensuring adherence to standards and procedures.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any inter-departmental issues.
- Manage and maintain budgets for the Rooms Division, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs to continuously improve service levels.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Homeowner Experience Management:
- Ensure exceptional service is delivered to all homeowners involved in the long-term or short-term rental schemes.
- Address homeowner complaints and concerns, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.
- Monitor homeowner feedback to continuously improve service levels.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor and manage the Rooms Division budget.
- Implement cost control measures and ensure adherence to financial goals.
- Prepare financial reports and provide insights for strategic planning.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management or a similar role, with a focus on Rooms Division.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and MS Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Fluency in English; Swahili or additional languages is a plus.
