Job Summary

Electronic Design Technician Elandsfontein The purpose is to analyse, build, modify, test, repair and maintain electronic circuits and circuit board assemblies including inventory management and equipment maintenance. Minimum requirements and experience: BTech or Diploma (Electronic Engineering) Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in electronic assembly manufacturing Good knowledge of electronic components. PCB layouts using CAD, Program and debug electronic circuits, assemblers and microprocessors.

Responsibilities:

Assist Design Engineers with the following: Drafting schematics and PCB layouts using CAD Specify and order components for a Bill of Materials Assemble, solder, configure, and test assemblies Test, fault-find, and repair assemblies Program and debug electronic circuits and assemblies (including microprocessors) Test and fault find with RF diagnostic systems. Maintain electronics laboratory (stock levels etc).
