You will be responsible for but not limited to:Operation of the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) equipmentOperation of ERA related plant and equipment including skimmers, VER rigs, jack hammer, hand augers, etc.Recovery of soil and water samples using defined protocols and the preparation and submission of these to the laboratoryEnvironmental monitoring of water, effluent and soilReport writingMaintenance of remediation and recovery equipmentMaintenance and care of PPE and equipment as issued to youGeneral assistance at the SEC office and on sitesAny other activities that may be reasonably requiredEnvironmental Control Officer work may also be requiredEducation:MatricHighly Computer Literate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Drivers License a mustSkills:Fully bilingual -English and Afrikaans with good communication and interpersonal skills Solid written and verbal communication skillsAttention to detailDeadline orientated and time managementSelf-motivated and results drivenAbility to multi-taskAbility to work under pressureFriendly personality.
