Job Summary
Cape Town – Western Cape
- Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for data and BI initiatives.
- Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder needs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and IT teams, to gather requirements and translate them into actionable user stories.
- Sprint Planning and Execution: Lead sprint planning sessions, define sprint goals, and ensure the team delivers high-quality increments.
- Data and BI Focus: Oversee the development and implementation of data and BI solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and drive value.
- Performance Metrics: Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of data and BI initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement by regularly reviewing processes and implementing best practices.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, with a focus on data and BI projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Proficiency in Data Analysis, BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and Data Management platforms.
- Experience in the Asset Management or Financial Services industry.
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices.
- Knowledge of SQL and Data Modelling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
