Job Summary
Key
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of workshop personnel, including mechanics, technicians, and apprentices.
- Lead team meetings and provide guidance on technical problems.
- Ensure proper training and development of workshop staff.
- Plan, schedule, and allocate resources for repairs, maintenance, and service jobs.
- Ensure that all jobs are completed within deadlines and to the company’s quality standards.
- Maintain records of work done, parts used, and time spent on repairs.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of tools, equipment, and work practices.
- Inventory and Equipment Management:
- Monitor and maintain workshop inventory, including spare parts, tools, and consumables.
- Ensure equipment and tools are properly maintained and serviced regularly.
- Order new parts and tools as needed, ensuring stock levels are kept within required limits.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets required safety and quality standards.
- Ensure that all repairs are completed efficiently and to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Liaise with customers regarding job progress, technical issues, and repair completion.
- Provide clear reports and updates on job status, costs, and timelines to management and clients.
Qualifications
Technical certification-related field.
Minimum 2 -5 years experience in a mechanical workshop environment experience working with heavy machinery, automotive, or industrial equipment.
Technical Skills:
Strong mechanical and technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery.
Familiarity with workshop management software and diagnostic tools.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage a team and work under pressure.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
