Our client is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join their team As a vital part of their practice, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care, supporting our dental professionals, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Location: Cape Town Start Date: December 1, 2024 Job
Responsibilities:
Meet and greet patients in a warm and friendly manner Assisting with dental procedures and preparing the patient file in respect of information e.g., Diary management Patient account management / invoicing Preparing patients for dental work. Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures. Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary. Assisting dental hygienists with procedures when necessary. Providing great patient care. Recording treatment information in patient records. Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment. Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs. Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist. Caring for dental equipment. Requirements and Qualifications: Dental Assisting Diploma – advantageous but not required Must be registered with Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Dental Assistant At least 2-3 years` experience in a similar dental assistant position Any medical patient software system is beneficial Skills And Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills Professional communication skills Compassionate, reliable and a passion for people Attention to detail Organized Computer literacy Ability to multitask Well-presented and professional Team player Working hours: Monday to Friday: 8H00 – 17H00 Salary and benefits: R15,000 – R17,000 per month – depending on experience 20 working days of leave Performance-based bonus in December Application Process:
