Job Summary
- Source and procure raw materials, mechanical/electrical components, spare parts, and technical services per engineering specifications and production needs
- Liaise with engineering and production teams to understand technical requirements and ensure accurate procurement
- Evaluate suppliers on price, quality, and delivery; maintain strong supplier relationships
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specs, and BOMs to identify sourcing needs accurately
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of critical items
- Manage RFQs, quotations, and procurement data within ERP systems
- Track KPIs (cost savings, lead times, supplier performance) and report accordingly
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations
- Troubleshoot supply issues such as delays or shortages and drive solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
What Do You Need?:
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Procurement, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a technical procurement role in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, technical specs, and industrial materials
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Syspro is essential)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and supplier negotiation skills
