About the Role
The University of Fort Hare is seeking a visionary Director Human Resources to join its leadership team. As part of our ongoing renewal, we are looking for a highly experienced and skilled HR professional who can help shape the future of our institution. Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight to Senior Managers of Human Resources Operations, Talent Management and Remunerations, Benefits and Shared Services
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and procedures
- Drive initiatives around talent acquisition, retention and motivational programs, compensation, performance management, talent and leadership development, succession planning and employee engagement
- Optimise the performance of staff and partners in institutional collaboration that supports our mission
- Build and strengthen stakeholder relationships across boundaries and backgrounds
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology or related fields
- 10 years’ experience in HR functions, preferably in a Higher Education or similar sector
- Proven leadership experience of no less than 5 years in a complex organisational environment
- Registration with either HPCSA as an Industrial Psychologist or SABPP is an added advantage
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: Master’s degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology or related fields
