About the Role

The University of Fort Hare is seeking a visionary Director Human Resources to join its leadership team. Key Responsibilities

• Provide oversight to Senior Managers of Human Resources Operations, Talent Management and Remunerations, Benefits and Shared Services
• Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and procedures
• Drive initiatives around talent acquisition, retention and motivational programs, compensation, performance management, talent and leadership development, succession planning and employee engagement
• Optimise the performance of staff and partners in institutional collaboration that supports our mission
• Build and strengthen stakeholder relationships across boundaries and backgrounds

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology or related fields
• 10 years’ experience in HR functions, preferably in a Higher Education or similar sector
• Proven leadership experience of no less than 5 years in a complex organisational environment
• Registration with either HPCSA as an Industrial Psychologist or SABPP is an added advantage

Qualifications

• Formal education/certifications: Master’s degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology or related fields
