Learnerships Application 2025/2026 Our client, Joya Brands produces a range of high quality, soft-filled candy under the “Amajoya” brand at its high-tech factory situated in Atlantis, outside Cape Town. About the learnership: 12-month fixed term employment contract. 1 May 2025 30 April 2026 There will be 18 learnerships awarded within the Packaging department and occasionally the Processing department of the Atlantis factory/office. Unemployed Students, who are local to the area can apply to enter the yearlong program. Students will take part in practical and theoretical learning and thereafter receive a National Certificate in Production Technology (NQF level 2). Shortlisted candidates will be required to pass: Literacy Test Numeracy test Medical clearance check Criminal clearance check About the qualification: This qualification provides learners with the range of learning and skills required to be able to perform a series of activities to support manufacturing, engineering, and technology processes. Learners will acquire a range of skills in the identification of production parameters in manufacturing, engineering and technology industries and basic strategies to achieve them. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified: South African citizen Age 21 30 Local to the Atlantis Area Completed Matric or higher. Achieved a minimum result of 40% for Mathematics. Achieved a minimum result of 80% for Mathematics Literacy Achieved a minimum result of 50% for English second language. Advantageous but not essential: previous Food Factory experience Able to lift heavy equipment and material. Able to work shifts assigned according to the schedule.
