5* Private Game Lodge close to Bela Bela is looking for an experienced Field Guide. The guide plays a pivotal role in the success of a lodge operation . Duties: Host guests on game drives, bush walks and other activities. Interpret the elements of nature and wildlife for their guests. Lead game drives, bush walks and other activities Ensure the safety of guests during all safari activities. Answer questions and engage in informative discussions about the wildlife and surrounds. Conduct routine daily checks of your vehicle and equipment Ensure your vehicle has all the relevant equipment as required by the SOP checklist and that the equipment is in working order. Prepared to handle emergency situations and provide first aid Assist with guest pick-up and drop-off Assist with staff transfers, as required. Assist with camp maintenance and the workshop when requested to do so. Requirements: Grade 12 FGASA Level 1 / 2 Qualification Backup Trails. Lead Trails will be a bonus. At least 2+ years experience as a Field Guide/Ranger in a Big Five Game Reserve DEAT Registration A valid first aid training certificate to handle trauma care. A valid and current South African guides licence and valid PrDP special drivers licence. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Good initiative to cope with difficult situations in a remote environment.
