1834 nGAP Lecturer: Environmental Health FACULTY OF HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES Department of Life Sciences Bloemfontein Campus Main purpose of the job To develop academic material and lecture in allocated subjects for own and other programmes, and to execute appropriate community projects Main tasks Teaching, learning & assessment Student evaluation Research Administration Control and organisation Community service Subject field(s) Environmental Management Toxicology Note: This post is part of the New Generation of Academics- programme (nGAP) in the second phase of the Staffing South Africas Universities Framework (SSAUF) Nature of appointment : Permanent Academic Minimum salary scale (Total Cost to Company): R 777 297 per annum (2026 salary scales to be confirmed) Note: CUT applies an internal parity model to determine remuneration that complies with the principle of equal pay for work of equal value. Accordingly, the preferred candidate may expect an offer that is in line with their qualifications and years of similar experience. Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience A relevant Masters-level degree (i.e. M Tech/MSc/NQF 9 or equivalent) in Environmental Health or a related field. An average of 70% or above in the highest degree. Registration with the HPCSA. At least two years teaching/lecturing/industry experience relevant to the subject field. Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience Evidence of progress towards a Doctorate degree. Any acknowledged publication, research, innovation or creative output.
