About the Role
CARtime, a leading aftermarket service center in Hillcrest, Kwa Zulu-Natal, is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee our workshop operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing workflow, and driving productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting customers and directing vehicles to an available technician.
- Consulting with technicians about needed repairs and alternatives that can be offered in place of expensive repairs.
- Answering customer questions about service outcomes and consulting with technicians when necessary.
- Informing customers about potential cost savings and warranty protections.
- Assisting customers with quotations and bookings.
- Overseeing and managing the service center’s scheduling and workflow.
- Informing customers of changes in service or when their vehicle is ready to be picked up.
- Managing mechanics, fitters, and cleaners.
- Controlling and monitoring productivity workshop technician.
- Ensuring that parts arrive on time.
- Ensuring that technicians comply with their Check List.
- Ensuring that all staff complete their daily Productivity Report.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out safely.
