About the Role
Our client in the insurance industry is seeking a highly experienced Internal Auditor to join their team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating internal controls, risk management processes, and governance practices to ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and financial integrity across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk-based audits of business processes and systems
- Evaluate internal controls, risk management, and governance processes
- Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations
- Report audit findings and recommendations to management and the Audit Committee
- Collaborate with other departments to implement audit recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, or related field (CIA, CA, or relevant certification preferred)
- 3+ years of internal audit experience in insurance or a similar field
- Strong understanding of internal audit principles, risk management, and governance
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Fluency in English and at least one local language (e.g. Afrikaans, isiZulu, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, or related field
