Job Summary
- Upgrade SYSPRO
- Provide job specific SYSPRO training to end users.
- Assess the use of SYSPRO and implement changes where processes are not in line with expected business processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, connection, printer and software issues.
- Replace or repair defective parts and equipment.
- Maintain daily tape backups and offsite backups storage.
- Ensuring data is stored securely and backed up regularly.
- Monitor and perform routine server maintenance.
- Manage user accounts, credentials, permission, access rights and active directory administration.
- Monitor the performance of existing computer systems and IT infrastructure.
- Documenting processes and operating procedures.
- Support LAN’s, WANS, internet and intranet systems.
- Administer servers, desktop computers, laptops, printers, routers, switches, software deployment, security updates and patches.
- Assist with month end processing and be able to work after hours in case of system upgrades and maintenance.
- Maintain software and hardware registers and ensure full compliance as per company policies with regular audits on all PC’s and laptops as well as monitoring internet and email usage.
- Strong procurement knowledge with regards purchasing IT equipment (hardware and software)
- Execute backup and recovery plan (Disaster recovery)
- Respond to afterhours system problems and travel to branch locations as needed.
- Maintain all IT infrastructure and equipment and ensure regular service and maintenance.
- In critical areas such as server rooms, including considering service level agreement hardware and software subscriptions where needed.
- Translation installation and support (Bar coding systems)
Minimum requirements:
- Min senior certificate
- SYSPRO certification (Finance, Manufacturing, Distribution, Administration, VB scripting)
- Microsoft SQL Server (SSRS)
- Min Syspro 7/8 implementation and administration – min 3 years’ experience
- Min 5 years IT support experience.
- Basic SYSPRO customization (e.Net, SRS, VB scripting)
- Implementing BI solutions.
- Networking and active directory experience is essential with knowledge of HYPERV and virtual servers.
- MS Office 365 and MS Office experience is essential.
