About the Role
As a Freelance Facilitator & Assessor, you will play a crucial role in facilitating and assessing learners enrolled in the National Occupational Certificate: Food & Beverage Service Attendant learnership. Your primary responsibility is to ensure practical workplace readiness, service excellence, and compliance with qualification standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate training sessions for Food & Beverage Service Attendant learners
- Assess learner competence in both theory and workplace performance
- Guide learners through structured learning and workplace application
- Conduct formative and summative assessments aligned to unit standards
- Maintain accurate learner records, POE documentation, and attendance tracking
- Coach learners on service standards, customer interaction, and operational readiness
- Monitor learner progress and provide continuous feedback
- Ensure compliance with SETA/QCTO requirements and audit readiness
- Submit assessment reports and updates to Project Lead
- Coordinate with hospitality sites for workplace-based learning integration
- Manage own travel and facilitation schedule across Gauteng sites
Requirements
Relevant qualification in Hospitality / Food & Beverage / Restaurant Management (e.g. Senior Waiter, Restaurant Supervisor, or Hospitality Management qualification)
Minimum 3 years practical experience in Food & Beverage / Hospitality industry
Registered Facilitator certificate (ETDP SETA or equivalent)
Registered Assessor certificate for relevant qualification/field
Strong understanding of service operations and workplace training
