Job Description

The role of Stock Controller is a newly created one with the main objective being to
operate as a key link between Purchasing, Operations and Warehouse functions. This
will involve monitoring stock levels, movements, locations and a strategic use of space
and processes. The aim of the role is to continually reduce the number of stock losses,
write offs and customer/supplier stock queries year on year.
The individual will need to be able to work independently and be self-motivated. They
should also process strong problem-solving skills and have a keen eye for detail.

Main Responsibilities

Compare items received against items ordered and ensure incoming stock is receipted and managed appropriately.
Carrying out periodic reviews of outgoing orders to ensure accuracy of shipments and respective stock records.
Ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are investigated, addressed, and resolved.
Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all stock
Help develop the companys stock management strategy with the aim of
reducing losses and obsolete stock, rationalising inventory, and maximizing
available space.
Work with the warehouse management to ensure proper arrangement of stock to
allow for optimum efficiency / organisation.
Perform process and system testing to locate and solve problems in data
integrity.
Be responsible for managing and running planned stock takes.
Perform cyclic stock checks.
Minimise and removal of obsolete stock.
