Job Summary
WIRE HARNESS / CABLE HARNESS / LOOM ASSEMBLER – URGENT ROLE – needed in Cape Town, permanent role.Key duties: Crimping of contacts to wires ensuring that crimping is done to correct standards. Inserting wires to connectors. Sleeving or harnessing of wires to form a loom adhering to set standards. Correct assembly of wires to form a loom/wiring harness using the relevant work specification (schematic, instructions, samples). Running wires using running lists. Routing cables on loom boards. Assisting with loom installation into product. Soldering of components where required. Using the heat gun to seal the sleeve over the loom/harness. Ensuring that sleeve and or wires do not have nicks.EXPERIENCE: Hand tool experience needed (heat gun, glue gun, soldering iron, etc). Electronic, wiring, component knowledge. Soldering experience (small components, wiring).OTHER CRITERIA:Successful Matric Certificate required.RSA Citizens only.NO CRIMINAL RECORDPreferably have a drivers license and own vehicle to work and back.
