About the Role
We are seeking a Beverage Manager at Maison Grace, Cape Town’s first truly bespoke private members club, to curate an exceptional beverage experience that reflects refinement, rhythm, and personal preference. As our ideal candidate, you possess advanced wine knowledge, cocktail expertise rooted in technique, balance, and restraint, and operationally disciplined approach to managing bar operations, stock, and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and oversee the complete beverage experience across the club
- Curate a thoughtful, globally informed wine list with depth, balance, and relevance
- Lead the cocktail programme honouring classics while crafting subtle, original signatures
- Set and maintain impeccable standards across all bars and service touchpoints
- Be present on the floor, guiding service, mentoring bartenders, and reading the room
- Manage bar operations, stock, cellar, costing, and supplier relationships with precision
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in premium bars, luxury hospitality, or private members clubs
- Advanced wine knowledge (formal sommelier training strongly preferred)
- Cocktail expertise rooted in technique, balance, and restraint
- Operationally disciplined approach to managing bar operations, stock, and supplier relationships
Qualifications
- Formal sommelier training (preferred)
