About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with South African regulations, and maintaining accurate employee records. With at least 5 years of experience in payroll processing, you have a strong understanding of the legal framework and are proficient in using Sage or similar payroll systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-function payroll processing (weekly/monthly)
- Ensure payroll compliance with SARS and BCEA regulations
- Submit EMP201, EMP501 and manage UIF, PAYE, and SDL
- Manage leave, overtime, and deductions
- Handle payroll-related queries and support HR functions
- Maintain accurate employee records and payroll reports
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ payroll experience
- Proficiency in Sage or similar payroll systems
- Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Must reside in or near Blackheath (Delft, Kuilsriver, Bellville, etc.)
