Job Summary
Cape Town – Western Cape
- Develop and implement the organization`s IT strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives.
- Lead the implementation of new systems ensuring program success.
- Lead the IT team, providing direction, mentoring, and support to ensure the team`s success.
- Manage the IT budget, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with business objectives.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, ensuring they align with the organization`s needs and goals.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the organization`s information and technology assets.
- Ensure the effective delivery of IT services and support to end-users across the organization.
- Manage relationships with vendors and third-party service providers.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal audit requirements related to IT and data management.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the industry and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve the organization`s technology infrastructure.
- Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Masters of Business Administration is preferred.
- Experience managing external and internal software developers, ideally in a .Net environment.
- At least 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a CIO or similar role.
- Strong understanding of FMCG.
- String understanding of eCommerce (B2B and B2C).
- Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to align IT strategies with business objectives.
- Experience in developing and implementing IT strategies and roadmaps.
- Experience leading complex system implementations.
- Experience with Project Methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
- Experience driving change and system adoption.
- Experience in managing IT budgets and contracts.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity risks and best practices.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of leading high-performing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
