Job Summary

The tasks you’ll perform: Create intelligent P&IDs in Autodesk Plant 3D, Bentley Openplant, Siemens, COMOS. Setup and maintain link with 3D Pipe Modelling software. Populate equipment data in the database. Generate standard deliverables from the database Generate custom database queries and reports Prepare drawings for checking, squad checking and issue; per Project requirements. Update redlines to show As-built status of drawings. Ensure that drawings comply with all relevant project standards and/or ruling statutory authority applicable to assigned projects. Ensure that all CAD files produced strictly comply with the necessary Group, Draughting and CAD project procedures. Ensure that all files produced strictly comply with the Group defined and project CAD procedures and are uploaded to the relevant folders in the Document Management System. Comply with all Company policies, procedures and instructions. The expertise you’ll bring: Certificate, diploma or degree in engineering, CAD drafting or related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in using object orientated database CAD software. Proficient in intelligent object-orientated database software and 2D CAD software(e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, Siemens, COMOS, etc.) CAD Database Configuration and Administration experience. South African Citizen or Permanent Resident Cape Town based Extremely well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers. Display the core values and ethos of the business. Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills. Provide mentoring and identify avenues of professional development and succession planning for personnel within your business unit. Capacity to delegate appropriately. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables. Demonstrated ability to achieve consistently high standards within both budgetary and schedule constraints. Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment. High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge of process optimisation. Demonstrate a strict practice of confidentiality, personal responsibility and discretion.
