About the Role
The Area Manager is a key position responsible for ensuring effective services are rendered to clients, while driving growth of market share within each retail group and minimizing overall waste. The successful candidate will be expected to manage subordinates/field teams effectively and contribute to the company’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage subordinates/field teams to achieve sales targets and optimize market share
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
- Provide effective customer service and ensure client satisfaction
- Collaborate with retail groups to understand point of purchase/service standards and practices required for perishable products
- Stay up-to-date with FMCG retail trade trends in SA (specific Dairy) and identify new market opportunities
Requirements
- Matric
- Driver’s Licence
- Business degree or diploma
- Short course diplomas in FMCG industry
- Management/Supervisory Training
- 5 Years sales experience in a FMCG (sales and marketing role)
- 2 Years plus Management/Supervisory experience FMCG environment (sales management role)
