About the Role
The Deputy Unity Manager (Theatre) role is a critical position in our theatre unit, requiring exceptional leadership and operational expertise to ensure seamless day-to-day operations. We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in nursing and management to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage nursing standards and in-service training
- Maintain a professional image and character
- Build sound working relationships with multidisciplinary teams
- Accurately record keeping and manage stock
- Initiate and implement continuous improvement projects
- Provide leadership and mentoring skills to staff members
Requirements
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
- Post Basic Diploma in Operating Theatre Technique
- 5 years Operational Experience in a Theatre Unit
- Previous experience in a management position (advantageous)
- Knowledge of legislative and Occupational Health and Safety requirements
- Valid Drivers licence and ability to travel
