About the Role
The Employee Benefits Administrative Assistant role provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the business, enabling the effective delivery of strategic objectives. This position is critical in managing the day-to-day administration of employee benefits and services, maintaining internal systems and operational databases, and coordinating reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Administers membership across medical aid, medical insurance, gap cover and wellbeing / lifestyle benefits.
- Manages claims processing and ensures timely, professional resolution of queries.
- Provides administrative and operational support to wellbeing initiatives, medical support structures and other programmes.
- Manages the ongoing administration of contribution schedules, ensuring employer contributions remain accurate and up to date.
- Handles queries and administers claims processes.
- Ensures compliance with beneficiary nominations.
- Oversees monthly payment schedules and ensures premiums are paid timeously.
- Manages stakeholder queries and processes claim applications.
- Co-ordinates and administers bursary applications.
Requirements
- Strong administrative skills, preferably in a benefits administration or HR role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Basic knowledge of medical aid schemes and insurance products is an advantage.
