Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the handling of dangerous goods, ensuring strict compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols. Manage airfreight operations, ensuring timely and accurate shipments, cost efficiency, and service excellence. Develop, monitor, and manage budgets and targets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and accountability in financial performance. Cultivate and grow client relationships, understanding client requirements and providing tailored solutions for seamless operations. Drive sales initiatives, identify new business opportunities, and work closely with the sales team to enhance service offerings. Lead, mentor, and develop a team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and client satisfaction. Analyze and report on operational performance, ensuring all KPIs and targets are met or exceeded.
Requirements:
Proven experience in freight forwarding, specifically with dangerous goods and airfreight operations. Strong understanding of budgeting, target setting, and accountability metrics to ensure optimal financial performance. Experience in sales, client management, and people leadership within a logistics or freight forwarding environment. Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices for handling and shipping dangerous goods. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team management. Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities to handle the complexities of freight forwarding.
