We’re seeking a skilled Hotel IT Technician to join their Facilities & Operations team and ensure seamless IT operations across the property. Key Responsibilities IT Support & Troubleshooting Provide day-to-day technical support to all hotel departments, including front office, F&B, and back-office systems. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Assist with the setup and maintenance of computers, printers, and other IT equipment. Network & System Maintenance Monitor, maintain, and update network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, and server systems. Install, configure, and upgrade software applications as required. Assist in backup and recovery processes to safeguard hotel data. Hotel Systems Management Provide support for Opera or any other hotel management software (PMS). Troubleshoot PMS-related issues and assist users across departments. Support integration of PMS with POS, F&B, and other hotel systems. Security & Compliance Ensure IT systems are secure and compliant with data protection and company policies. Monitor antivirus, firewall, and cybersecurity protocols. Report any IT security risks or breaches to management. Project Support & Implementation Assist with IT-related projects, upgrades, and new system implementations. Support the integration of new technologies to improve operational efficiency. Coordinate with external vendors for specialized IT support and maintenance. Training & Documentation Provide guidance to hotel staff on IT systems, software, and best practices. Maintain accurate records of IT incidents, solutions, and system configurations. Develop basic user manuals and training materials where required. Qualifications & Education Requirements National Diploma or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are advantageous. Experience Minimum 2–3 years in IT support, preferably within the hospitality or commercial environment. Experience with Opera or any other hotel management software (PMS) is essential. Experience with network administration, system troubleshooting, and user support. Preferred Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Windows and macOS environments, networking, and common hotel POS systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and commitment to timely problem resolution. ⚠️ Important Application Notes Must hold a valid South African ID.
