About the Role
Our client, a financial services provider managing R20 billion in assets under management across South Africa and offshore, is seeking an Investment Operations Assistant (Graduate level) to support their investment team with daily operational tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance, supporting operational processes, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the investment operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in fund management operations
- Assist in checking trades and predefined compliance checks
- Assist with monthly account reconciliations
- Assist in KYC, FICA, and AML compliance checks
- Assist in preparing and reviewing fact sheets
Requirements
- Finance related Diploma/Degree (i.e. subjects in Finance/Accounting/Economics)
- High attention to detail and accountability for work quality
- Someone who enjoys structured, process-driven work and remains motivated and engaged in routine operational tasks
- Previous experience in a CIS/LISP environment is an advantage
- Experience in compliance or operational roles within asset management/LISP/Financial Services would be an advantage
- Familiarity with industry-specific tools and platforms used in due diligence or client onboarding processes
