About the Role

Jendamark Automation is seeking a Mechanical Design Graduate to join our design department team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering engineering designs and solutions that meet customer requirements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exposure to ECR Designs & Detailing for small fixtures and tools.
  • Exposure to Design & Detailing of small Special Purpose application.
  • With assistance establishing most effective design solution to achieve required specification.
  • With assistance to specify components for the purpose of procurement.
  • Continuously engage with Assembly and Commissioning during phases of the project.
  • With mentorship, create design release package for manufacturing purposes.
  • With mentorship, create final designs within a controlled budget environment.
  • Comply with ISO procedures of Jendamark.
  • Actively reduce costs by providing suggestions and opportunities for cost savings.

Requirements

  • Formal Tertiary education: N. Dip or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Degree
  • Drivers License: Code 8 required
  • Languages: English (speak, read, and write) Afrikaans (speak, read, and write)
  • German (Advantageous)

Qualifications

  • Basic hand sketching skills
  • Basic understanding in concept development
  • Basic machine calculations & FEA Experience
  • Basic understanding of material specification & processes
  • Basic time management skills
