About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant with bookkeeping experience to join their team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will provide administrative support while assisting with basic accounting and financial administration functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming calls and emails.
  • Manage diaries, appointments, and meeting schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain filing systems, records, and documentation.
  • Draft correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Assist with general office administration and coordination.
  • Maintain office supplies and liaise with service providers.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Perform debtor and creditor administration.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements.
  • Capture financial transactions accurately on accounting systems.
  • Assist with payroll administration when required.
  • Prepare financial reports and support month-end processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Requirements

Relevant qualification in Administration, Bookkeeping, Accounting, or Finance will be advantageous. Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in an administrative and bookkeeping role. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience working on accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar.
