Cape Town City Centre: Payroll Specialist

Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 / Equivalent (Required) Certificate or diploma in Accounting, HR or Payroll (Required) 1 3 years experience in payroll or accounting roles Skills and Attributes Knowledge of payroll systems Strong math and data-entry skills Understanding of tax regulations and labor laws Excellent attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information Good communication and problem-solving skills Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Process weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for all employees Maintain accurate employee records (hours worked, pay rates, deductions, benefits) Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and commissions Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations Prepare and distribute pay slips Handle payroll queries from employees Reconcile payroll reports and correct discrepancies Assist with year-end tax documents Collaborate with HR Finance departments Additional Information: Full-Time onsite position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12 months Fixed Term Contract This position will be based in Mowbray, Cape Town Closing Date: 31 December 2025 Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
