Cape Town City Centre: Product Engineer

Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and optimisation of composite products from concept through to production. Translate customer requirements into robust product specifications and engineering solutions. Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure product integrity, manufacturability, and performance. Conduct engineering analyses, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of new and existing products. Create and maintain technical documentation, drawings, BOMs, and process guidelines. Drive process improvements to reduce cost, enhance quality, and improve throughput. Support customer technical queries and provide engineering input for proposals. Ensure products comply with relevant standards, safety requirements, and company procedures. Minimum Requirements Mechanical Engineering degree (BEng Essential) 35 years experience in product engineering, design engineering, or manufacturing engineering (preferably composites, aerospace, automotive, or similar). Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, NX or equivalent). Experience with testing, FEA, or product validation will be advantageous. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
