About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Professional Architect to lead our Architectural Department in Cape Town City Centre. The ideal candidate will bring strategic and technical expertise, combined with excellent interpersonal skills, to drive project success and foster a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and technical leadership to the Architectural Department
- Interact with various project stakeholders
- Oversee architectural design, documentation, and project delivery
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and professional standards
- Mentor and manage architectural staff
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Architecture
- Professional Architect (SACAP registered)
- Proven experience in a senior or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of building services and infrastructure-related projects
- Excellent inter-personal, communication, management, and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans to effectively participate in bilingual meetings
