Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Management Install, configure, maintain, and support Windows Server environments Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file services Perform patching, upgrades, and system hardening Monitor server performance and capacity planning Virtualisation Deploy and manage virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, etc.) Provision virtual machines and manage resource allocation Implement high availability, clustering, and disaster recovery solutions Perform backups, restores, and snapshot management Security & Compliance Apply security best practices and hardening standards Manage user access, permissions, and policies Support audits and compliance requirements Automation & Optimisation Develop scripts (PowerShell) to automate tasks Improve system performance and reliability Identify opportunities for cost and resource optimisation Troubleshooting & Support Provide 2nd/3rd line support Diagnose and resolve server and virtualisation issues Root cause analysis and documentation Participate in on-call rotation when required Project & Documentation Participate in infrastructure projects and upgrades Maintain system documentation and diagrams Collaborate with network, security, and cloud teams Key Competencies Strong troubleshooting skills Attention to detail Excellent communication Ability to work under pressure Team player Strong documentation skills
