Johannesburg office for a seasoned, Account Development Manager to join our
team.

Were seeking a seasoned Creative Director who can translate complex briefs into bold, strategic ideas that drive impact at the moment of choice. Youll inspire and mentor a talented team, safeguard design excellence, and champion innovation that elevates brands. With a proven creative track record, strong leadership skills, and a passion for design that moves people, youll help shape the future of VF!
Job Description / Requirements
- Translate complex client briefs into strategic creative direction and execution plans.
- Lead ideation, resource allocation, and design excellence while driving innovation.
- Safeguard quality standards, ensure agility in delivery, and uphold client expectations.
- Present high-impact creative strategies and pitches to executives, clients, and boards.
- Drive new business development by positioning design capabilities as commercial levers.
- Cultivate and expand client and stakeholder relationships, unlocking account growth.
- Oversee reporting, billing compliance, and operational planning with strategic oversight.
- Continuously engage industry trends, tools, and insights to future-proof the teams capability.
- Provide strategic leadership in talent acquisition, probation, and overall team development.
- Mentor and elevate staff, embedding a culture of continuous professional and leadership growth.
- Design and implement performance frameworks, KPIs, and progressive performance management.
- Oversee disciplinary processes and corrective action strategies across levels.
Requirements
- 10 years’ experience (3-5 years’ managerial experience/ creative leadership experience)
- BTL / Experiential marketing background
- Background in art direction, graphic design, industrial/product design, interior design, exhibition design, experience design (not copy writing / copy direction)
- Advanced Diploma /Degree industrial design, graphic design, marketing, advertising, 3D visualisation or similar
- Advanced Diploma /Degree business advantageous
- Knowledge and experience in product design advantageous
- Proficiency in 3D studio max, beneficial
- Proficiency in Photoshop, illustrator and InDesign or similar design software
- Ability to build creative presentations using compelling storytelling
- Familiarity with project management software
- Strong understanding of DTP
- Strong creative track record
- Strong entrepreneurial drive
- Strong presentation skills
- Problem solving skills
- Valid drivers licence
- RSA ID
