About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is excited to present an opportunity for an experienced Inventory Accountant in the industrial sector located in Gauteng. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the management of inventory, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the arrangement, maintenance, and reporting of inventory levels across the organization
- Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy
- Analyze discrepancies and work closely with multiple departments to resolve issues
- Prepare and maintain detailed inventory reports for management review
- Assist in developing inventory management strategies to minimize loss and optimize resources
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
- Lead inventory reconciliation processes and ensure timely financial reporting
- Monitor inventory turnover rates and identify trends for improvement
- Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and forecasting related to inventory
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management or accounting, preferably in the industrial sector
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Computer literate in fully integrated computer system e.g. Baan, SAP, BPCS etc.
- Previous stock inventory knowledge and experiences
