Position Summary: The Director of Human Resources provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all aspects of people management within the Hotel. As a key member of the Executive Committee, this role partners closely with the General Manager to shape and deliver a people strategy that supports the hotels transformation into Cape Towns most loved luxury destination. This role oversees the full HR function including recruitment and retention, performance management, training and development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, labour relations, employment equity, B-BBEE, wellness, and compliance. The Director ensures that all team members are empowered, valued, and inspired to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fair, safe, and inclusive workplace. Qualifications & Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management ; Industrial Psychology ; or Organisational Psychology (essential) Certification in Labour Relations and/or Health & Safety Management (advantageous) Experience & Competencies: Minimum 810 years HR experience ; with at least 5 years in a senior management capacity Proven experience leading HR operations within a large; luxury or five-star hospitality environment Strong background in labour relations ; compliance ; and hospitality operations Demonstrated success in driving culture transformation ; employee engagement ; and leadership development Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and the ability to balance people and business priorities
