Hire Resolve is currently partnering with a leading engineering consulting firm in Cape Town, South Africa to find an experienced Electrical Project Engineer in the Renewable Energy (PV Solar)
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and client requirements. You will collaborate with a team of professionals and play a key role in delivering successful projects.

Responsibilities: 

• Interconnection and Design Documentation:
  – Complete interconnection drawings, single line diagrams, bid sets, construction sets,
  and as-built drawings for all solar projects.
• Project Requirement Analysis:
  -Design solutions based on project requirements provided by the Business
  Development Manager.
  – Offer the Business Development team the best solutions tailored to client
  requirements.
• Cost Optimization:
  – Optimize each design to minimize installation and construction costs.
• Sales Support and Client Consultation:
  – Provide feedback and input to the sales team to advise clients on the most suitable
  solutions.
  – Attend customer meetings and presentations throughout the sales cycle.
  – Present designs to clients at senior management and board levels.
• Bill of Quantities and Procurement Liaison:
  – Populate and review Bills of Quantities.
  – Liaise with the Procurement Department on project specifications.
• Project Lifecycle Coordination:
  – Collaborate with Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Performance Monitoring:
  – Monitor site performance and highlight concerns to the Operations & Maintenance
  (O&M) department.
• Commissioning Verification:
  – Conduct commissioning verification checks on all projects.
  – Provide input to the Project Manager for the final handover pack.
• Market Trends and Vendor Communication:
  – Stay updated with the latest products and specifications by regularly communicating
  with vendors

Requirements: 

• Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Experience: 3+ years in Engineering, specifically in Electrical and Renewable Energy (PV Solar).
• Certifications: Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and the South
  African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE).
• Software Proficiency: Experience with Helioscope Designs, PV Case, PV AutoCAD, PVsyst, and
  high-level competence in AutoCAD
