Cape Town: Estimator posted by Hire Resolve

Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator to join their team in Airport Industria, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating within the construction industry, particularly in the airport sector.

Responsibilities: 

• Analyse project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating
• Conduct site visits to assess project requirements
• Prepare detailed take-offs and material quantities
• Evaluate subcontractor quotes and negotiate pricing
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns and project schedules
• Communicate with clients to provide estimates and address any questions or concerns
• Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction process
• Provide support to the project team as needed

Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
• At least 5 years’ experience as an Estimator
• Minimum 5 years experience in the estimating function in the construction industry.
• Minimum 5 years on site experience in the construction industry.
