About the Role

Maison Grace, Cape Town’s first truly bespoke private members club, is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary vision of the club. Our intimate, discreet sanctuary is designed for the city’s most discerning tastemakers, where hospitality is personal, privacy is sacred, and every detail is intentional. We are looking for a chef who understands that true luxury is defined by clarity, consistency, and impeccable execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the culinary direction across the club’s dining spaces
  • Create refined, modern menus rooted in seasonality, restraint, and flavour
  • Deliver a consistent, world-class dining experience for a discerning membership
  • Lead and mentor the kitchen brigade with calm authority and high standards
  • Work closely with Front of House and Membership teams to deliver seamless service
  • Maintain absolute discipline in quality control, hygiene, and food cost management
  • Adapt menus and offerings to suit private events, intimate dining, and member preferences

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Head Chef at luxury hotels, private members clubs, or refined restaurants
  • Value elegance, balance, and technique over excess and trend-chasing
  • Run a disciplined, respectful kitchen culture
  • Collaborate, composed, and commercially astute
  • Understand discretion and thrive in intimate, high-expectation environments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Culinary Arts or related field
